Dear Western Region Members:

I would like to introduce myself to all of you. I have been a member of DVG since October 1, 1999. I was in the Kern County TOP Dog Club through 2007. During that time our club hosted the 2001 WKG Regional’s, and the 2005 National’s. We were a small club but with team work we were able to do these great events. We had disbanded Kern County TOP Dog Club for lack of members and helpers. That seems to be a problem for a lot of clubs. In 2008, I joined Anacapa Working Dog Association in Ventura, CA. That is still my club although I do not get to go very often.

During my time with DVG, I have served on the WKG Board since 2001 as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. I also am the DVG America Assistant to the Treasurer for Membership. I have attended several nationals and almost all of the WKG Regionals.

This is a hard and fun sport at the same time. It is fun to visit other clubs in our region. You will meet some new friends and connect with some old ones as well. I hope you enjoy this organization as much as I do. I will look forward to seeing you at one of our events in the future.
